Walk-in registration for all divisions in the 2010 season of Pembroke Youth Baseball will be held on Tuesday November 17 and Thursday November 19 at the Community Center from 7:00-9:00PM. Players who are new to PYB must present their birth certificate at registration.

Returning players mail register by mail using the registration form available on the web site.

The fees will remain the same as last year. 2010 fees are as follows:
$110.00 T-Ball, Rookies 7 & AA
$120.00 AAA & Majors
$135.00 Babe Ruth

Checks should be made payable to Pembroke Youth Baseball. Registrations received after December 31, 2009 will be subject to a late fee of $25.00 per player/$50.00 family cap.

Anyone interested in sponsoring a team, please bring a check for $200 and your business name will be featured on a team jersey. Other sponsorship opportunities including field signage are available.

Tryouts will be held on Saturday June 6 at the Mattakeesett fields for the 8 year old summer all star team. Pembroke residents who are playing on a PYB spring town league team are invited to try out for the summer team. Unlike the older age groups, there is typically only one eight year old team due to limited slots for teams in the local league. All play will be player-pitch.

There is an April 30 cutoff for birth dates. For example, a player can be no older than 8 on April 30 to qualify for the 8 year old team.

Players are evaluated at the tryouts in several areas including hitting and fielding so they should come dressed appropriately.

Registration starts at 9:30AM and the evaluations begin at 10:00AM.

The length of the evaluation sessions will depend on the number of players attending.

We encourage participation at all skill levels but please remember that this is a significant commitment typically from mid-June to early August.

Pembroke residents who are playing in the current AA, AAA or Majors divisions are invited to try out for one of the summer teams. Within the constraints of finding coaches and leagues in which to place the teams, PYB tries to allow as many children as possible to play summer ball.

There are teams for each age level with an April 30 cutoff for birth dates. For example, a player can be no older than 12 on April 30 to qualify for a 12 year old team.

Players are evaluated at the tryouts in several areas including hitting and fielding so they should come dressed appropriately. Teams are formed at different skill levels to provide each player with an opportunity to develop skills along with players of similar abilities.

Registration for 11-12 year olds will begin at 7:30 and the evaluations will start at 8:00.
Registration for 9-10 year olds will begin at 10:00 and the evaluations will start at 10:30.

The length of the evaluation sessions will depend on the number of players attending.

The Pembroke Youth Baseball Golf Tournament will be held Friday May 29, 2009 at River Bend Country Club in West Bridgewater, MA. In the past we’ve scheduled our tournament later in the year when weather was always a concern so this year we’ve picked a date during the baseball season with hopes that the warmer weather will give us our largest turnout yet.  This is our major fundraiser helping us to maintain our beautiful new fields, supply our teams with uniforms and equipment and keep Pembroke Youth Baseball one of the premier leagues in the region.

Opening Day Ceremonies Sunday April 19th

Players should meet at Mattakeesett Fields at 11:15AM. Look for your coaches to prepare to line up for a short parade before assembling for the ceremonies on McPhillips Field.

After the ceremonies, there will be food followed by games on most of the fields.

We are in need of volunteers to help with opening day. We need help with setting up, serving food and cleaning up. We really need a few volunteers from each team to make this work.
