Opening Day Parade

The 2010 Opening Day parade was a big success despite the threatening weather. With dark clouds overhead, hundreds of baseball and softball players in full uniform paraded around the Mattakeesett facility cheered on by friends and family.

Thanks to the efforts of many volunteers who arrived early Sunday morning, the fields looked great and were ready for Opening Day.

2010 Annual PYB Golf Tournament

Pembroke Youth Baseball is holding its annual golf tournament on Friday May 21st, 2010 at the Pembroke Country Club. Held early in the year to coincide with the mid-point of our baseball season and to take advantage of warmer weather, we expect this year’s tournament to bring our largest turnout yet. As our major fundraising event for 2010, proceeds from the day’s event go to great lengths in helping us maintain our beautiful new fields, supply our teams with quality uniforms and equipment and keep Pembroke Youth Baseball as one of the premier leagues in the region.

Scheduled for Sunday April 18. The parade and festivities start at noon – rain or shine. Players should be at the Mattakeesett fields in uniform by 11:30 to gather with their team.

April Vacation Baseball Camp

Pembroke American Legion Post 143 is hosting an April Vacation Baseball Camp at the Mattakeesett Street Fields. This is the third year of the camp and it a great way to get ready for the baseball season. Download Registration Form.

2010 Pembroke Baseball Registration

Walk-in registration for all divisions in the 2010 season of Pembroke Youth Baseball will be held on Tuesday November 17 and Thursday November 19 at the Community Center from 7:00-9:00PM. Players who are new to PYB must present their birth certificate at registration.

Returning players mail register by mail using the registration form available on the web site.

The fees will remain the same as last year. 2010 fees are as follows:
$110.00 T-Ball, Rookies 7 & AA
$120.00 AAA & Majors
$135.00 Babe Ruth

Checks should be made payable to Pembroke Youth Baseball. Registrations received after December 31, 2009 will be subject to a late fee of $25.00 per player/$50.00 family cap.

Anyone interested in sponsoring a team, please bring a check for $200 and your business name will be featured on a team jersey. Other sponsorship opportunities including field signage are available.

I want to thank everyone that came out to support Pembroke Youth Baseball at the golf tournament.
Special thanks to Rich Spencer and Ken Marini for all of their hard work coordinating the event. A big thank you also to Pat and Linda Gibbons and the staff at The Alumni Sports Cafe who are always willing to help.
